¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ College of Informatics

The Kentucky Cybersecurity & Forensics Conference (KCFC) is an annual cybersecurity event held every year by one of the National Centers of the Academic Excellence i.e. the CAE institutions within Kentucky. It is a cybersecurity conference that is hosted annually by one of Kentucky’s higher education institutions that has earned the CAE designation through NSA accreditation. This year, the KCFC 2024 will be hosted in person by ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ (NKU) in Griffin Hall, the home of the College of Informatics. This cybersecurity focused conference offers a great platform and opportunity for discussions, presentations, exchange of ideas, dissemination of research work via papers & posters, scholarly publications, workshops and networking with peers from academics, government and industry for advancing cybersecurity education, collaborations and innovations.

The NKU College of Informatics is proud and honored to host this 2024 KCFC i.e. the annual Kentucky CAE Conference on Saturday, October 19. This conference will feature papers, posters, workshops, and presentations on a variety of cybersecurity topics.



KCFC 2024 Theme

In an age marked by rapid technological progress, the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity has become a pivotal area of focus. This year’s KCFC celebrates connection between these two areas of research, acknowledging AI's pivotal role in strengthening security while also recognizing the distinct challenges it presents. KCFC 2024 Important Dates & Information

Submission requirements:

Short papers are expected to be 8-10 pages in length, but short paper submissions lesser than 8 pages, or more than 10 pages will also be considered.

Full papers are expected to be 16-20 pages in length, but full paper submissions lesser than 16 pages, or more than 20 pages will also be considered.

For posters, the ideal abstract is expected to be 300-350 words in length, though it can be longer or shorter.

All paper submissions should follow the Springer publication's Computer Science conference paper template and formatting guidelines, as specified online by Atlantis Press at: . Once you click on the provided weblink, refer to the "Guidelines for conference paper authors" section for instructions and paper formatting templates.

Paper submissions will go through a single blind peer review process, and, therefore, submitted papers need to be anonymized i.e. they need to be without the author names when submitted for the review process.

Submission deadlines:

The deadline for paper submissions is Sunday, September 22nd.

The deadline for poster submissions is Monday, September 23rd.

The anticipated date for sending out status notifications to authors of paper submissions is Monday, September 30th.

The status notifications for both papers and posters will be sent out on a rolling basis (as submissions are received) - with all notifications sent out before or by Monday, September 30.

The deadline/cutoff date for final camera-ready paper submissions is Monday, November 25th.

Note:

Papers will be reviewed on a rolling basis, i.e. early submission is highly encouraged for early status notifications with peer review based comments.

All types of scholarly works, including but not limited to applied research work, experimental case studies, experience reports, work-in-progress investigations, review of research literature & system of knowledge papers, and research survey studies, are welcome.
